The Roots

Hello Everyone,

Now for majority of you reading this you may already know that my life has thrown me a huge curveball and surprised me with the most perfect bundle of joy, My daughter Maya Rose. 

I found out I was pregnant with an ex's baby (while with a new partner) when i was 29 weeks pregnant. (< Scary thought i know.) From then on it hasn't been an easy road and there have been complications - as you can all imagine!! I had 10 weeks to prepare myself that I was bringing a little mini me into this world!  I searched high and low for blog posts, advice, tips, to help me to cope with the situation I have been put in, ...but I drew a blank and found nothing!

After experiencing the biggest surprise of my life so far I have decided to take you all on my journey as a new single mum, who has had struggles in every day life which don't seem to be broadcasted. 

This led me to create The Maya Chronicles, to help young single mums who are possibly dealing with the same situation, alongside showcasing that the Instagram posts you see are only a snippet of the good days, and you shouldn't believe everything you see online!

I bring to you the unfiltered life of a single parent doing an amazing job with the support of family and friends!

I will also be talking about the taboo topics which in this generation are masked by the perfection of social media. I am aiming to break that and show new parents that not everything is perfect, shiny and happy all the time, and there are aspects of your journey which will have struggles and hard times along the way. But most importantly to show the parenting world that YOU ARE NOT ALONE, YOU WILL GET PASSED IT, IT WONT LAST FOREVER, and even more importantly THAT YOU ARE DOING AMAZING AND YOU NEED TO BE REMINDED.
