Mamia Newborn Nappies Size 1-2

These nappies from ALDI were for me my favourite newborn nappies! They felt soft enough on my face, so they were soft enough for a tiny bottom. They have a wetness indicator on the nappy - front to back, its a yellow line that when wet or dirty will turn blue, This was a life saver for me as when babies cry in the first few weeks or months, its not overly clear what they are crying for. One check of these nappies and you know when it needs changing!
They seemed to be very strong and very absorbent and could hold a lot of liquid. Because of the absorbency, baby poos would be absorbed and the first layer, making it more comfortable for baby instead of just sitting on the top - it also meant there was less mess to clean!!
And mums you will be so happy with the price, especially if you are tight for money!
I personally preferred these over Pampers and Morrisons!
Currently in shops they are
24 pack size 1 - (wait for it) ........... £0.79p!!!!!!! - absolute bargain
44 pack size 2 - £1.79!!
Pampers Pure Nappies Size 1

I had read about these nappies as I wanted to try and help the environment and buy biodegradable nappies, and i cam across Pampers Pure. Slightly bigger pack then the Aldi nappies at 35 in a pack. However more expensive!
I really didn't get on with these nappies, the feel of them were really thin and flimsy - the last thing you need to experience for the bum explosions! The absorbency wasn't brilliant, we experienced a lot of spillages in these nappies and they don't have a wetness indicator - Not really ideal for small babies.
Although the nice patterns on the font of the nappy were cute, I wouldn't rush out and buy these again.
The prices currently in Sainsburys are
Size 1 pack of 35 - £5
Morrisons Nutmeg Baby Newborn Nappies

I don't even know where to start with these nappies. I really really disliked these that much that they didn't even make it out the packet!
The feel of these nappies is extremely plasticky and round to feel, surely wouldn't be comfortable on a babies bottom!
They didn't feel like they would absorb anything - more like run off and go everywhere - they looked like they'd repel liquid of any kind!
So because I haven't tried these products as such, I don't really have much to say other then I will not be buying any more of these!
The price in Morrisons are:
